hockey stop
EN definition: Right side hockey stop begins with a forward two-foot glide, knees bent. Then, an athlete lifts the knees slightly, reverses the arms (to the left) and the hips and feet (to the right) pushing the LFI and RFO edges into ice to 'shave the ice' resulting in a stop. Left side hockey stop is done in reverse directions.

RU definition: Хоккейное торможение в правую сторону начинается с движения вперед на обеих ногах с согнутыми коленями. Затем колени немного разгибаются, руки поворачиваются налево, а бедра и ноги направо, «врезая» левое внутреннее и правое наружное ребро в лед на ход вперед, в результате чего происходит остановка. Хоккейное торможение в левую сторону исполняется в обратном направлении.
